Certification & Report
Cut:
You’ve selected a 4.51 carat Radiant lab diamond. 0% of our users choose radiant diamonds. Learn more about them here.
Cut is the most important factor. When an experienced gemologist picks up a diamond grading report, their eyes go to very specific values. They are looking to see if these fall within the desired ranges. Seemingly unimportant values like the depth percentage have a large effect on how your diamond will sparkle - and these values differ for each shape.
Follow the checklist prepared by our gemologists to see how your diamond fares. If it misses by a little bit on one or two, that’s fine, but we recommend trying to find a stone that passes on all:
| Property | Target | Diamond |
|---|---|---|
Symmetry | Very Good or better | Excellent |
Polish | Very Good or better | Excellent |
Girdle Thickness | Thin to Very Thick | Thick |
Table | 61% - 69% | 68.0% |
Depth | 61% - 69% | 68.6% |
Color:
Your 4.51 carat Radiant lab diamond is graded F color (Colorless), and you can read more about F color diamonds here.
Color is graded beginning with D (Colorless). Learn more about diamond color here. The market prices colorless diamonds higher as they are rarer, but some people prefer warmer colored stones.
Our gemologists check for following color issues before recommending a diamond:
| Property | Target | Diamond |
|---|---|---|
Color | K-D | F |
Artificial Treatment | No | No |
Fluorescence Color | None or Blue | None |
Fluorescence Strength | Faint or less | None |
Clarity:
Your 4.51 carat Radiant lab diamond is graded VS2 clarity, which stands for Very Slightly Included 2. Read more about VS2 clarity diamonds here, or learn more about diamond clarity in general here.
There are minimum clarities our gemologists prefer for each shape, but beyond that clarity is a matter of budget and preference. People typically aim for an eye clean stone. Also, our gemologists have certain deal-breakers when it comes to clarity. For example, our gemologists always avoid stones with a cavity, because with one wrong hit your diamond can crack.
Use the checklist below to ensure your diamond passes. Consult us before purchasing to see if any other nuanced issues are present:
| Property | Target | Diamond |
|---|---|---|
Clarity | SI1 or above | VS2 |
Cavity | No | No |
Chip | No | No |
Knot | No | No |
Laser Hole | No | No |
Etch Channel | No | No |
Patch | No | No |

Media & Reviews
I'm a person the deeply distrusts reviews as most of them are AI generated or flat out fake. I rarely take the time to review a seller but due to the truly AMAZING experience I received from CEO Ajay, I am delighted to spread the word. I wanted to surprise my girlfriend by asking her to marry me on NYE which happens to be her birthday as well. I spent HOURS looking online and in jewelry stores looking for the perfect stone and then setting for it. I browsed Rare Carat for about 20 minutes and then just needed to take a break from looking as the search was becoming overwhelming. About a day later, I received an email from Ajay, the CEO of Rare Carat. He asked if he could assist me in my search in finding the right stone and setting. I gave him my requirements and he sent back several stones and settings to consider. Within 15 minutes I chose what I consider to be the perfect diamond for my GF, at a price much lower than I anticipated. Ajay answered all of my questions and I ended up purchasing a matching band and a three year warranty for both rings, all at a price that was lower than just the stone on a competing website. I DO realize that all of the stones on ALL of the sites are in a "marketplace" that all of these companies access and order from. However, the price for the SETTING DOES vary from site to site. I ordered my diamond, the setting, and the matching band. Fast forward to five days before NYE and I received an email from Rare Carat informing me that my setting did not pass the rigorous quality control standards. I PANICKED! I sent Ajay a desperate email asking for a solution. Ajay was able to mount my stone in a "temporary" setting (it looked really nice), and Fed ex it to me with two days to spare. On NYE, I surprised my GF with the rings and proposal. Fortunately for me, she accepted. She LOVED the stone and when I told her the setting was temporary she was actually RELIEVED because she wanted to pick out the setting! I contacted Ajay and he, once again, helped me choose a new setting and matching band. He credited me the cost of the original setting so I didn't lose a penny! Returning the original setting was super easy! Rare Carat sent a Fed Ex label and I shipped it back. My GF LOVES the setting she picked out! She switched from the yellow gold I chose to a white gold setting with side diamonds that were a different shape than the setting I originally chose. I am soooo grateful to Ajay and the wonderful Rare Carat team for making my engagement less stressful and allowing me flexibility. I wholeheartedly recommend Rare Carat! The selection was vastly superior compared to what was in the jewelry stores. I feel like I purchased a custom ring at an exceptionally low price.
