Well done, Wells Adams.

On Tuesday, the “Bachelor in Paradise” personality, 35, announced his engagement to “Modern Family” actress Sarah Hyland. In a clip posted to Instagram, Hyland, 28, shows off her dazzling diamond ring.

“Sarah’s elegant and timelessly classic ring appears to feature an estimated 5-carat oval diamond in a delicate solitaire or diamond-accented setting,” Kathryn Money, Brilliant Earth‘s vice president of strategy and merchandising, told Page Six Style on Wednesday.

“Depending on the quality and specific characteristics of the center diamond, we estimate the cost of the ring at approximately [between] $100,000 and $150,000,” she added.

A second diamond expert, however, suggested Hyland’s ring could be worth even more — “around $200,000,” according to Rare Carat‘s CEO, Ajay Anand.

Hyland and Adams confirmed their relationship in the fall of 2017.

Sarah Hyland’s Ring FAQs

How did Rare Carat estimate the value of Sarah Hyland’s engagement ring?

Rare Carat’s CEO, Ajay Anand, considered the size, shape, and apparent quality of the diamond from public photos. Based on what they infer — a sizable oval-cut gemstone and its mounting — they believe the ring could be worth as much as US$200,000.

What is the estimated size of the diamond in her ring?

According to Rare Carat’s analysis, the diamond looks to be around 5 carats, which is a very generous size for a center stone in a classic, elegant engagement ring.

What kind of setting does her ring have?

Rare Carat describes the setting as either a simple solitaire or a delicate diamond-accented style. This kind of design helps highlight the center oval diamond without overpowering it.

What makes Rare Carat believe the ring’s value could fall on the higher side of the range?

They’re assuming very good diamond quality — not just in carat weight but also in clarity and color. If those quality factors are top-notch, it pushes the price toward the US$200,000 mark. But if the clarity or color is lower, the value could be less.
