Bracelets FAQ
What is a Tennis Bracelet?
A tennis bracelet is a classic jewelry piece featuring a continuous, symmetrical line of diamonds or gemstones joined by a thin, precious metal setting. Originally known as an "eternity" or "inline" bracelet, this style became iconic for its balance of elegance and durability, designed to move with the wrist during both daily activity and formal wear.
What are the best metal options for a diamond tennis bracelet?
Rare Carat offers 14k Gold, 18k Gold, and Platinum settings to suit different preferences: 14k Gold (white, yellow, or rose gold): Our most popular choice for its balance of purity and durability. It is highly resistant to scratching, making it ideal for the frequent movement of a bracelet. 18k Gold: Offers a richer color (especially in yellow gold) with a higher gold content, providing a luxurious feel. Platinum: The premier choice for durability and skin sensitivity. Platinum is naturally hypoallergenic and its density provides the most secure setting for a continuous line of diamonds. Unlike White Gold, Platinum will never require replating to maintain its white finish.
How do I choose between Lab-Grown and Natural diamond bracelets?
Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. Choosing a lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet allows you to maximize your budget, allowing for a larger total carat weight (ctw) or a higher clarity grade (such as VVS or VS) at a significant value compared to natural diamonds of the same quality.
How do I pick the right bracelet length or size (6", 6.5", or 7")?
To find your size, measure your wrist with a flexible tape measure just below the bone. For a "comfort fit"—which allows the bracelet to drape slightly without sliding off—add roughly half an inch to your measurement. 6-inch: Ideal for petite or extra-small wrists. 6.5-inch: The standard length for most average-sized wrists. 7-inch: Preferred for larger wrist measurements or for those who desire a looser, more mobile drape.
Are there different gemstone options?
While colorless diamonds are the traditional choice, we also offer a "Rainbow" tennis bracelet featuring a spectrum of carefully matched sapphires. These utilize the same high-quality 14k gold or platinum settings as our diamond collection, offering a vibrant, colorful alternative to the classic diamond line.
